La comunidad de Patilla fue reasentada en 2013. En Nueva Patilla, los residentes experimentaron problemas por falta de agua potable. Además, el cementerio estaba mal construido. The community of Patilla was resettled in 2013. In Nueva Patilla, residents experienced problems due to a lack of drinking water. Also, the cemetery was poorly built. Cemeteries are cultural sites for Afro communities. In 2021, the community reached an agreement with the Cerrejón company to build a drinking water plant and a new cemetery.
